Which romeo and juliet character is Jacob?

I mean I guess the reason why I say this is because he is not a Paris, Jacob understands Bella and is her friend. He like Benvolio is very sweet, and tries to make everyone happy.

Wait... since when has Jacob tried to make everybody happy? He is the trouble maker. He is a discriminatory kid who is after Bella and doesn't care about any of the consequences. I love him but he's not ever trying to make people happy.

I gotta read Romeo & Juliet. Were suppose to read it this year but my teacher is out this whole month....

He does try to some extent to make people happy. I couldnt really put him as a character becuse of the diffrent coflicting sides of his nature.

Wasnt Paris the one who was trying to get Jul. i see Jacob as him....we dont know much about paris and for all we know he really could have loved her- hell he died for her right. Jake could fit in his place fighting roward for the girl! i totally see him as Paris!

possible, that is who stephenie related him to. But Juliet didnt actually love paris, she didnt really think much of him at all, i thinkis the only problem there.

Well the problem is that Paris didn't really care about Juliet either, he just thought she was pretty. Jacob and Bella have a real connection. And Paris didn't really die for Juliet, he just hated Romeo. I think he is more of a Benvolio, because he is really sweet, and just has that Benvolio feel when he's happy. Not to mention his constant loyalty.

Okay, So I've never read Romeo & Juliet ... So correct me if Im wrong but didn't Benevlio end up with... Juliiets cousin or something? Okay so Romeo & Juliet are passionatly in love.. Basically Edward & bella! And although Benvolio didnt really love juliet ( right?) he was still kinda there in the sidelines and fell for someone else? So the way I see it, its kinda like that with Jake. He's there in the sidelines pining for Bella but in the ultimate end I beleive he'll end up imprinting on someone. Dontcha think? So in ways he is like Benvolio, but still Ben was slightly more.. caring and self-less. Right? and honestly as much as I love Jake, thats just not quite him....

I can kinda see where the Paris thing is going, but yah. Still Paris was bubble-headed, and all after the looks and what-not. And Jake's not like that.

So Jake's kinda got a bit of personality and story line as some of R & J's charactors, but all in all.. he's not quite like any one of them. Oh and there was another guy.. named Tybalt or something? Wasnt he like the perv and player of the story? Something like that...

Tybolt... i had thought that, but tybolt is juliets cousing and i very pig headed in a way that jake is not. He is obsesed with upholding tradition, not love.

well the situation they are in yes. But Benvolio is comforting and is always there for Bella. Paris just wants juliet for her looks, and thats not Jacob.

In the books, Bella describes him as Paris. Preferred by the parents, but not her true love.
