Sweet. All these books we're talking about here sound awesome! Except my 7th grade reading class ruined fahrenheit 451 for me. I mourn the death of that book! Except not really, cuz I hated it.

it was my 9th grade class, but i had exactly the same experiance as you, right down to hating the book.

I read it on my own since my mom had the book so...yeah. No due dates or anything so I can't fully appreciate your hatred of the book...even if he did kill off the best character in it.

i don't HATE it, exactly. not in the same way i hate anything written by steinbeck, or in the same way i loath anne of green gables, at least. but i didn't enjoy it much. i'm sure it would have been better if i'd read it on my own.

yeah looking back it was ok, but in that class i hated it. She made us tear it to pieces the author never imagined possible!

i'm reading salem falls by jodi picoult. her books are so insanely amazing.

i'm not reading anything at the moment (friggin school eats my time) but i still suggest Undone by Brooke Taylor to everyone who will listen to me

i'm not reading anything either, not even fanfic. still adjusting to school, plus i have absolutely no desire to read, for some reason. i can't read and i can't write... i'm starting to get worried here...

so i have nothing to recommend, for now. -sigh-

i was reading gossip girl fanfiction today since i finally got to watch the full first season. lmao how awesome is that?

i'm definitely going to check and see if they have that book at my library when i finish my current book. although my bff wants me to reread the hp books with him. i'll manage.

and i really suck and explaining what books are about! you should just look it up on amazon or something and read their summary.

I love Jodi Picoult. My favorites are My Sister's Keeper and The Tenth Circle

but lately I've had this urge to reread Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson or however you spell her name... that was a really good book.

it really was a good book. i loved the movie too. i might just do that for my final in film lit. :]

we're reading short stories by jhamba lahiri (sp?) for school, and she's actually fabulous. they're about indian american families, and her writing is just phenomenal.

also books by terry pratchet and christopher moore. and i've restarted the host, which is, of course, fabulous.

it is an awesome class! for the most part, we've been watching older movies (modern times, rear window) but i love, love, love it! the first movie we watched was hoosiers. ahaha i hate sport movies. my teacher said eventually we may watch the batman movies. so yeah, it's pretty sweet.

anyway, i finished reading "salem falls" by jodi picoult and that is, by far, the best book i have read in my entire life. i checked out "reincarnation" by suzanne weyn from my library so i hope that book will be good too!

it sounds kinda like this club i'm in, Film Society, except we go during lunch...

we watched the batman movies last time. I love the teacher that hosts it. He just talks about the movie while he shows it and we just watch parts and he'll pause it and talk, but he's so interesting!

The Dark Night was so GOOD!!!!
Batman was hot, hot , HOT , and the Joker was good-no no good, great, bad@$$!!!
Three hours of watching great actors-act great; yeah it was well worth it.


So i'm reading Wuthering Heights. Anyone else???

I need to reread Speak.

I found two books that are absoulty amazing. Nick and Norah's infinite Playlist and Blue Bloods

Nick and Norah's Infinate Playlist? I didn't know that was a book! I thought it was just that movie.

But yeah so I read Speak twice in a row (like literally as soon as I finished it I fliped back to the beginning and started over) and then today I found out there's a movie of it with Kristin whatever her last name is in it (Bella). So yeah I went and rented it and watched it by myself... and now I'm kinda depressed.

It was an ok movie. I really hated the Mr. Freeman actor at certain parts though. He did it completely wrong. And Kristin did the facial expressions really well, but every time she talked she screwed it up. Good thing it wasn't that often. But some parts of it were really good. I liked the end especially.

Nick & Norah is an AMAZING book! What's Speak about?

i LOVE speak! i wanted to get nick & norah's infinite playlist but it was like 16 bucks, so i wasn't even gonna try that..

anyway, i just finished nicholas sparks' book, nights in rodanthe. i really love it, but it's so sad. =[ i can't wait to see the movie AND i can't wait for his new book!
