The Cover

i want a time machine too! only i want mine to take me to september, since i won't get it until then. i haven't decided whether i'll be good and stay away from spoilers, or not and read the threads anyway...

on mtv their doing an interview with stephenie sometime soon and shes going to explain it now that the book is out:) and im sure she'll post it on her website too

my friend said that stephenie only had input on the first book's cover, but somebody else did all the others and they don't have anything to do with the book really.

that's depressing. so all the symbolism of the eclipse cover is wishful thinking on the part of the fangirls?

so i was thinking about the cover and i sort of have an idea. i think the white pawn stands for the cullen vampires and their witnesses and the red pawn stands for the volturi because of how they faced off in the end. what does everyone else think?

i think i'd trust my friend cuz she's an intense fan that looks up all that kind of stuff... She also told me some things that made me frown upon Robert Pattinson...

so stephenie has said that the book cover actually represents bella and... bella. because at first bella was really weak, but she ended up being the person everyon counted on at the end. never would have thought of that, to be honest

I have two great ideas!! I woke up 8 minutes ago and was laying in my bed with my eyes open. Then I saw the cover of Breaking Dawn sitting on top of my other Twilight books on a ledge. I thought about what the cover might mean and rushed down the stairs right away.

I think that Bella is the pawn, and Renesmee is the queen. Bella is still human during the pregnancy, and she isn't that powerful yet. Renesmee has the better ability to take over Bella's body, or the pawn. That is the more unlikely theory, I think.

The more likely is that Renesmee is the pawn and Bella is the Queen kind of a weird switch there, but still. It goes against the Queen's nature to save a pawn over herself. And Bella does the same thing. Bella should be protecting herself against Renesmee and destroying her. But instead gives her own life for someone else.

That was kind of confusing, sorry.

Your second theory is pretty good! Even though it's not the one Stephenie used, I think it could work if she wanted to use it lol
