i think im in love with this site.
its nice to meet people who love twilight as much as i do!

so, my names rachel but everybody calls me ray.
im sixteen and i live in canda! (but deep down i belong in forks!)
im kind of a dork, and i like it.
ive been called a gypsy, a hippie, and a witch..
but oddly enough i was flattered!
but not nearly as flattered as i was when i was called 'vampire goddess'
i almost NEVER go outside (i dont dig the whole summer bit)
i simply adore winter.. so as cliche as this sounds-
im pale as a sheet.
i play guitar- acoustic mostly. and im really into indie/folk music.
ani difranco is my absolute role model, and i would kill to play like her.
i love my quirky friends- and i tend to get along with most people my age.
(don't get me wrong, theres lots of haters.. but you cant let it bother you)
although, a complete stranger once said i was 'neat'
and that was a good thing.
i love to read. im basically a regular at chapters..
and the twilight books are by far the best.
i wish so hard that i would just wake up one day as Bella Swan, or should i say Bella Cullen!<3
.. but i dont have an Edward, yet.
Oh, and did i mention that im team edward?!
so i guess that covers everything
oh, and of course i love love love stephanie myer!

But yeah I'm from Texas, but I'm so jealous you're from Canada! And you like indie? Me too! My favorites are all canadian indie bands... Stars, Broken Social Scene, Metric, Wintersleep, any of those ringing a bell?

So yeah even though I love Canda, I hate cold. Gonna have to get over that.

Hmm...as random as this is I wonder if we're gonna get any snow this year.

Also I'm 16, live in Texas, and love Indie also...so I pretty much sound like Sky here...

Hi, Ray! I'm Sam I'm fifteen, which makes me younger than all you guys Wow, you're from Canada? So am I! But I live in Australia now, so yeah... big change there I love winter too - not Australian winter, though, that pretty much sucks. We have to trek across the stupid oval when it's practically a lake and we don't even get snow to compensate for it. I'm really pale as well, since I spend most of my time on the ice rink (the main way I make up for the lack of snow ). Ah, wouldn't that be awesome? (The whole waking up as Bella Cullen one day thing.) I'm sure we're not the only ones wishing that...

Lol, I have a mental twin (Anne ) on the other side of the world, and I have a friend who's almost exactly like me (only she's about a foot taller...).

Hello Ray and welcome aboard. I'm Lauren and it's nice to meet you. I'm 22, making me one of the oldest members here, and I'm from North Carolina. Like you, I'm also more of a winter person, I play acoustic guitar and I like to read(among other things- check the About You thread to find out more) And like everyone else, I love the site, too. Which is made apparent by my post cost and rank-CCA Anonymous-translation: Cullen Cults Addicts Anonymous. So anyway, this place IS a great site, all the members are wonderful and crazy(some crazier than others, but in a good way-you'll find that out soon enough) There's never a dull moment around here, we'll certainly keep you entertained. Am I the only one who likes fall? Go Halloween!

Maybe I just like it because winter here sucks. It gets super cold and we hardly get any snow.

Halloween?! Only the biggest, most wonderful candy-grabbing scam that ever existed. October 31st? Jack-o-lanterns? Witches and ghosties and goblins and pillowcases full of sugary deliciousness? Ring any bells? Fall is the North American word for Autumn

I like Fall, but not in Australia. I don't like any of the seasons in Australia. Spring's the only one that can be alright. Winter's cold and windy with buckets of rain but no snow, Summer is stinking hot, and Autumn... well, Autumn and Spring just tend to be the switch over periods for Winter and Summer

I love Halloween! I'm suppose to going as Lydia from Beetlejuice with one of my friends being Beetlejuice this year.

Australia weather sounds alot like Texas weather.

Halloween is awesome! Lol, that's pretty cool. Halloween over here sucks, though. About half the people don't know anything about it, and half completely hate it just because of the fact that it's "American." And then (forgetting all proper math, here, with my mutilated fractions ) there are a few people who celebrate it, but they just give you like... marshmallows and stuff and they think putting on a halo and some little fairy wings actually counts as a costume. I mean, COME ON... (Sorry to be insulting to Australia, but I was pretty disappointed at not being able to trick-or-treat properly/at all after I moved here )

Yeah, I guess they'd be pretty similar. It's winter over here right now, so the oval we have to walk across has turned into a complete swamp and it's really cold most days but I still haven't managed to buy myself a school jacket... (I hate uniforms. If I could wear my own jacket, I wouldn't need to freeze to death...)

You should just get a bunch of friends and have a costume party or something and make it really huge. I'm thinking about doing a scare-athon with a bunch of friends (you try to scare as many people as you can in a night and whoever scares the most wins).

Summer here and if you set foot outside you're not only blinded but probably melting.

I hate uniforms! We have them at my school and I just want to burn all of mine. We're planning to have a bon-fire after graduation.

Yeah, I did that once. Nobody really gets the point of Halloween, so it can be a little weird. HAHA, that would be so fun! I love scaring people. My sister and I invented this puppet-come-to-life thing called Jonzin (don't even ask how we came up with it) and we keep on managing to scare each other just by talking about it. It's pretty funny.

Eek, that sucks. It's like that here, too, only sometimes summer can be really unpredictable and it rains. But most days you just about die from the heat, and our home room is this old, hot, stuffy, gross-smelling place that just about makes you want to puke, or at least fall asleep. (Summer usually carries on well into the school year, so we get that for a while.)

Really? I don't know of many schools over in North America that have uniforms. When I lived in Canada we didn't have one, but ever since I moved here I've had to wear them and I HATE them. LOL, I would definitely do that. The skirts they make us wear are so annoying - as you're walking they ride up your waist so that you have to keep on yanking them down to avoid embarrassment. Then there are the girls who DON'T pull them down, and that's... just slightly revolting. Oh, and our shirts make everybody look like oversized pears.

Lol, that's good to hear. 'Cause it seems to be a habit I can't control...

The puppet-come-to-life thing reminds me of something...I think it's on a episode of Buffy and one of the Goosebumbs books. Jonzin sounds like a pretty cool name though. Ironically I just turned the channel to Angel and it looks like Angel was turned into some puppet.

Ew, that room sounds gross. Have you ever seen that one crayon that looks like it's puke colored? I've seen one that looks like that and I kind of just sat there looking at it in class wondering who the heck would want to use that color for something.

Those uniforms sound horrid. I don't really see the point of uniforms at all. The reason the gave us is so that no one gets distracted from their school work and everyone knows that it's not going to change that. I think it cuts off peoples individuality and creativity.

I've had a few people give up on arguments with me because I can go on for hours.

my school doesn't have uniforms our dress code is simply "Clean, safe, and decent." *rolls eyes*

But unpredictable weather? You've never seen it until you come to Texas. Seriously. Like two years ago druing the SUMMER, it was in the upper 90s one day. 3 days later, it HAILED. Then the next week it went back to the 90s. WTF?

And speaking of weather... yesterday it rained pretty much all morning, but stopped just in time for us to march at band camp (grrrr). But it was so humid the entire time, I sweat half my body weight off and everytime they handed out a paper it immediately turned soggy just from the air.

Haha, Miranda, my sister and I keep scaring each other with the puppet-come-to-life thing. It's pretty funny. I got a pretty good scream out of her yesterday just by hiding in her room when the light was off and she wasn't there, and then saying in a really croaky voice as soon as she walked in, "Jonzin..." and she just screamed and ran away. But she's better at scaring me. She was sitting at her computer, and I turned off her light and closed the door, kept it closed for a few seconds and then opened it again - as soon as I noticed she'd disappeared from her computer chair, I ran away screaming because I knew she was going to sneak up on me. It was pretty sad

It is gross. And it's like WAY far away from the rest of the school, so we have to walk across the oval like six times a day just because we're the extension class and they decided to isolate us. YES! I've seen that crayon! It's disgusting. I don't know why anybody would use it... unless they were drawing puke just to gross somebody out...

Yeah, they are. And we have the oh-so-original colour scheme of navy blue, white and forest green. Don't even get me STARTED on the Phys Ed uniform... Actually, the shorts are okay, but after middle school they stopped letting us wear them out of PE, so we girls have no choice but to wear a skirt (or the hideous shorts alternative they provide ).

Lucky you, Sky. I hate uniforms. Then again, if I had free dress every day, I wouldn't have anything to wear. I own school clothes, skating clothes, and pretty much nothing else. Maybe a few pairs of jeans. So I'd be screwed

The rain here is SO weird - it can be completely silent and sunny outside, and then suddenly it just starts PELTING down on the roof, so sudden that you pretty near jump right out of your skin. It happened one time when my friend and I were walking out the door to go to school... Then our friend drove up next to us and asked us if we wanted a ride, and we soaked her dad's car seats

Wow, that was a loooooooong rant... Lol, me too, Miranda. Whenever I get started on a winning argument that my friends know will go on for ages, they're just like "Oh, shut up."

Ok, I've noticed you saying this a lot, what are you talking about when you say "walk across the oval"?!?!

And yeah our school's PE uniforms (at least the middle school ones, when i was still in PE... gotta love marching band lol) are just pure grey lol. Our colors are navy blue and gold, though, which isn't bad. Pur band uniforms are mostly black though, with blue upper halves and shiny gold diamonds on them! we also have shiny gold capes off of one shoulder and cool hats that are like those English policemen hats with blue and gold plumes.

Our PE clothes just have to be the school colors (red, black, white...I later noticed that those were the Twilight series' color)

I like scaring people. I just found out today that when I had burst open the door (It's broken so I just pushed it really hard and it makes a loud noise when it opens like that) that my friends had been looking in my closet because there was some strange noise coming from it (my house has a lot of them) so I scared them and they all screamed bloody murder.

I got new clothes! My friends outgrew them so they gave them to me.

The oval is probably just some oval shaped place outside the school like Harry Potter.
