Ali's Surgery

I just thought I'd let you guys know, I'm at the Shriners Greenvile Hospital now, and my surgery is scheduled for around 1 PM tomorrow. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1234042-overview That's a link to info about it if anyone really cares that much. Anyway, that's why I haven't been on much, that and no internet, because we've been preparing. But if you could think of me tomorrow, pray, if that's your style, I'd really appreciate it. I should be able to get home Friday, maybe sooner if I'm lucky, but unfortunately my room isn't close enough to wireless hub to use the internet in there; now I'm sitting in the free room/lobby/play room/thing.

This probably doesn't matter to most of you, but in case I die and never come back, I just thought you'd like to know what happened. Not that it's likely, of course, I've got about a 10 percent chance of complication. But I know I've mentioned the surgery, and some have asked, so I thought I'd let you guys know.

Aw, thanks! I know I'm not the most regular member here, and I'm sure there are those who don't even know who I am, so that's why I was a bit unsure. But I'm really glad you feel that way!

Tip: When the surgeon says you can't eat after midnight, get up at 11:30 and stuff your face. I haven't eaten since dinner at 5 yesterday, I was full, and now I'll be starving for SIX MORE HOURS!

Argh. Food. How I miss thee...
