i actually like her. she's got guts and an actual personality, which can't have been easy to write. i love the progression from hatred to friendship. i think stephenie did that really REALLY well: it was fairly subtle and completely natural.

yeah, but would you? i mean, if an alien marched into your head and said, "ha, look at me! i'm in charge now! go away and let me take over your life and kill your family" what would you do? i'd be a bit self-centered too.

At first... Melanie is a complicated character who grows to love Wanda in the end. I do like Melanie. She is the strong type of girl but she is a bit obsessed with Jared. It's kinda creepy.

I agree with slashy snow eagle and a bit of momo's as well. Mel grows to love Wanda so much so she doesn't want to get her life back at the expense of Wanda's.

yeah. by the end, of course, they would both die for the other... except that their dying would kill the other, so it wouldn't really work. but she has every right to be obsessed with jared. she isn't any more obsessed with him than bella is with edward, after all...

I really liked Melanie's character she was strong and provided the story but I like Wanda better

mel's the kind of person i'd like to meet. wanda... i'm not sure i'd get along with wanda. she's a bit too sweet and goody-goody and willing to please. mel's got a backbone and a temper.

I liked Melanie. She was just a really strong character, I think, and she developed well through the whole book. I liked how Melanie had flaws, like how she had a bit of a temper and some jealousy issues and all that. I agree - she's the kind of person I'd want to meet. I'd still want to meet Wanda, because I liked her too. Actually it's kind of a toss up between Mel and Wanda... I don't know which one I like better Razz

well Melanie is the srong willed person I'd love to be but I'm more of a people pleaser like Wanda so yeah liked them both and I loved he bond they had by the end when they were still in the same body.
