Nice, well, at least you "almost" worked out a compromise. I've always wondered what it would be like to write in French. (For a proper story, I mean.) My French tutor tells me my written style "flows" and is "entertaining" so I'd like to try my hand at it sometime

Yeah, it is awesome! It's not every day you meet somebody from the other side of the planet who thinks, acts and speaks almost exactly like you. It's very strange. But of course it's cool! And the fact that we're both skaters, I think that's really uncanny.

Hmm, I don't understand what's so brilliant about TV either. I lost interest after being a slave to Channel 7 for a couple of years. Lol, sounds like our brothers are pretty similar, then... Only my brother doesn't watch TV - he's on the computer 24/7. Yeah, I used to play on Miniclip all the time, but then I lost interest in that, too. "Lol" is definitely a part of my vocabulary, unfortunately. I have to bite my tongue every time I go to say it, because my mom has a huge problem with that. It's the only netspeaky 'word' I ever use, though, so she should be happy about that. And besides, I'll bet you "lol" will eventually become a socially accepted word, because people use it so much.

I did Japanese for two years, and don't worry, I suck at it too. I just couldn't get the hang of the pronunciation and all that. But I had all my Hiragana memorized, which was something!

i only took japanese for one year, but i managed to memorize the hiragana. i was decent at pronunciation, but i COULD NOT remember any of the kanji! *shakes head* it was insane!

yeah. i'm not too fond of it. i'm not used to writing being work, and writing in french is. *sigh* You should try, though. my french teacher never said anything like that, but she goes on and on about how i have a "unique personality." *sigh*

you have more to deal with than i do, so that makes sense. it's easier to sort out 4 people than 12, after all.

i know! it's almost as frightening as it is cool. i agree about the skating thing. and we're both writers, and we name our characters the same things, and we both have an aunt marianne... wow.

yeah. i used to attempt to watch because i thought i should, but then i decided i didn't want to anymore. yeah, our brothers do sound similar. my brother probably would be on the computer all the time, but i get it first! *bows*. i used to play on cartoonnetwork.com, but i got bored. *shrug* oh, me too. my mom hates me using it, so i try not to when she's around. besides, is "lol" really any worse than the nonsensical sounds i insert into my vocabulary on a regular basis? i think not! "lol" makes far more sense than "eep". at least, i think it does. but yeah, "lol" will indeed soon be in the dictionary. that will be amusing.

Well that's not saying much, really. If you were the worst out of... say, thirty people, then I'd be worried. I bet you're WAY better than me. I was only in it for two years, but still...

And Anne, I think I suck at writing French too, but other people tell me I'm good at it. *shrug* I guess it's yet another of those things... Haha

Oh, I HIGHLY doubt that. I know all the hiragana and started working on the katakana, but never learned any Kanji. I barely know how to say anything, and I can write a short introduction about myself and that's about it. So yeah, it doesn't take much at all to beat that

i cant even write an intro, i can say what my name is, i know a few kanji and NO Katakana, i have a weird learning block with them.

Hmm, well the only katakana I remember are the ones that I need to spell my name, and maybe some others but I can't remember what sounds they are. Bear in mind that by "intro" I meant like "My name is ___ I am, __ years old, I'm in grade____" etc. Nothing detailed.

And anyway, at least you're sticking with it! I gave up after grade nine

Well that's better than my quick introduction. Mine's basically just: Watashi wa samanta desu. And then later there's: Watashi wa jyu go sai desu, etc. I've forgotten have of it anyway I'm much better with French.
