Could you guys help me with a debate???

it's in the book. it's when they're talking about cho and ron remarks that he didn't think people could have so many different emotions at the same time.

i'm a debater, sam. i know how these things work. (our topic was about nuclear bombs and america being a controlling b*stard or not. sorry, that's just my take on the situation. we were supposed to say whether or not the usa was allowed to take military action on axis of evil states about to get nuclear weapons. the affirmative (yes, we should) was hard to write!) but i am also smart. my teachers tell me so. lol.

Kathryn, i see your point, and you're right. it is indeed pure stereotyping. unfortunately, that's how debates work. and maybe you hear about women killing their children more because they're not supposed to. kind of like you hear about the good, upstanding, straight A student ODing on drugs, not the flunky. people talk about things that are unusual, not things that are only to be expected. (and that sounds horrible, and i apologize. not all flunkies do drugs and never have i claimed that they did.)

okay, i'll do that! america REALLY bugs me, and i live here . we think we're such a big important place, and all we do is bully others and embarrass ourselves. you'd think we'd have figured it out by now... *grimace* i have a LOT to say on the subject! i wrote an entire rant about it on my livejournal, which was pretty fun. i get to rant about standardized tests next week. yay me.

Aww that sucks (that they got deleted, I mean). I really wanted to read them. I wish those idiots would just leave the boards alone and go stick their heads in a giant hole full of... okay, so that's a bit harsh, but really we've got an excuse to be mad at them.

Um...I don't think we're talking about the debate anymore but here goes; Women are the better sex because men's minds can be easily manipulated and although it looks like their ruling everything it's the women who put those thoughts into their heads in the first place. My friend was telling me once a story about the Clintons. Bill and Hillary were at a gas stationa and Bill said, "See honey, if you married that guy you'd be the wife of a gas station worker." To which she replyed "No, honey. If I married him he'd be the president of America". Which goes to show that it's women who wear the pants and not the men.

Lol, that's hilarious (because it's probably true...) Men are so full of themselves, when really women are the reason for a lot of the things they do.

Ok here is a good reson why girls are better than guys. Guys can't handle resonsibility of children.

And where are all these dad's? Yeah, that's something I would like to know.

Stories like that make me so mad. Just because they don't have to deal with it physically, they think it's not their responsibility. Well let me tell you, buster, it's just as much yours to deal with as it is hers.
