so I'm Melanie ( or Mella!) I'm a huge fan of all three books and have been in a deep depression since I finished the 3rd book a few days ago. I have a wonderful boyfriend ( who's name is now changed to Jedward), a puppy named Theodore Joseph and thats about it!

Hi Melanie and welcome to the site. I'm Lauren, it's nice to meet you. I think we've all been a little depressed since we finished reading Eclipse. Which is probably why a lot of us have read it several times by now haha. But at least the new book will be out in a few more months and we won't have to wait any longer for something to read. I like your boyfriend's new name, that's pretty funny.

I know what you mean about being in a severe depression - I couldn't stop thinking about the series after I finished New Moon, so now I spend practically all my time either on imdb looking for casting updates, posting on these forums, or writing my story which was inspired by Twilight. I think you'll find we're all pretty obsessed here (or in a few cases, fanatically obsessed to the point of mental instability).

hey, I'm Anne. I know how you feel: i finished Twilight the day i got it from the library, and then i was like, "wait... i need MORE!!" So then i got the next to and read those, and now i'm waiting (almost patiently) for more.

*sigh* At least there will be Midnight Sun after Breaking Dawn, and maybe someone can convince her to do New Moon from Jake's POV. (Which I think would be cool. Dunno about all you Jake-haters, though.)

Haha, I'm pretty strongly opposed to Jacob. But only in Eclipse and the end of New Moon. In the middle part of New Moon, I actually liked him. Of course, my impression quickly got ruined. But hey, maybe if she wrote New Moon from his perspective, I'd understand some of his idiocy

have you read the story on her website from his pov? that's one of my favorite excerpts and outakes, actually. he's awesome in new moon: without him, we wouldn't have Bella as we know her anymore. and i can kinda see things from his perspective, though he really is a jerk sometimes, especially at the end of new moon. by the end of eclipse (not the epilogue, before that), he's gone back to being cool imo, but that's just me.

Yeah, I read most of that one. I didn't get through the whole thing, though. I really like his narrating style. It's very... down to earth.

And that's very true - if it wasn't for Jacob, Bella would be a useless lump. I guess I judge him too harshly sometimes... but it depends what part of the series I'm reading. Right now he's not in the main storyline, so I'm pretty much neutral.

Yeah... there's not much competition there, really. But I get your point. It's hard to like him when he's trying to win Bella over (although his attempts are completely futile). But I guess he's a nice enough character, until you read Eclipse...

i like him in eclipse, actually. it's at the end of new moon where i want to take him out and shoot him. repeatedly.

I don't the guy can take a hint. If you shot his he would prob. look at you like "what did you do that for?"

he can when he wants to. he just doesn't want to. and could you shoot him? i wouldn't think werewolves would be hurt by bullets. maybe if you did in his human form... not that i'm advocating shooting jake, mind you. i love jake a lot, he's just a bit of an idiot some of the time.
