Something tells me customs would be just slightly concerned...

That's true. They do seem to be pretty darn opposed to water bottles. You'd think they contained evil spirits or something...

i know! there's something wrong with that. oh, and did you know that you can take figure skates on as carry-ons and not hockey sticks? i find that amazing every time i see it !

Wow, are you SERIOUS? (No, only Sirius can be Sirius... Doesn't work the same way when you write it down...) But really, that is messed up. I don't think they know what they're doing. They think a dumb stick can do more damage than a pair of blades with toepicks? They'd better think again...

meh, it works anyway. it is messed up, though. but it's true. my friend's entire team took their skates as carry-ons and no one said anything apart from, "keep them in the overhead locker." *shakes head*

ooh, i started spinning again today . i finally got the leg position for my sit spin and now i just have to get lower. i almost have the leg position for my layback too. and i did the best spin i have ever done. it was a scratch spin and it was PERFECTLY centered around the 3-turn and EVERYTHING! i think i screwed up the "landing" (what do you call it, anyway?) but it was way cool!

Hmm, that's strange. You'd think they'd have a bit more common sense than that. Then again, skaters are stereotypically "fairy princesses" so maybe they think they would do any harm anyway, whereas hockey players would (again, stereotypically) beat somebody up with their sticks. If only they knew how very wrong they are about skaters...

That's awesome! It took me ages to get my sitspin decent, and now I go too low But I can still spin fast, so it works Wow, nice! At one stage I had my upright spins (that's our name for scratch spins ) perfectly centered and really fast. Now they're not as consistent, but they're alright. By "landing" do you mean the exit?

By the way, do you happen to have a program called Power DVD on your computer? Because I have the video from my competition, but the file format won't work with YouTube or ANYTHING. So I was just wondering if (if I sent it to you) it might work on your computer.

yeah, you would think. but in my experiance people have no common sense, so it's all good. they are so wrong it's not even funny anymore.

it's taken me a while too! and i need to bend my knees and arch my back more, but it's an improvement. i used to topple over whenever i brought my knees together, so now i can actually balance . nice! upright spins make more sense than scratch spins! i tend to travel rather a lot, so it's rare and special for me to do it right. yes i do! thank you!

i don't. i have windows media player and media center. but you can try sending it to me anyway. i might be able to play it.
