Oh, so you WEREN'T just using 300k as an example on that other thread... EEK, that is SCARY! My fanfic is only just over 40k. I'll have a look at it when I'm on ff.net again. Right now I need to actually do some writing... I'm such a slacker

Lilly, to answer your question, my pathetically cheesy story was about three figure skaters and it was sort of... soap-opera-ish. There was a lot of drama and a lot of bad things happened to the characters. It was entertaining to write, though! I've posted the first chapter on Fiction Press (the link is in my siggy) for anybody who wants to read it. I've written 24 chapters, so just let me know if you want more

nope. what's scary is that i wrote it all in about 3 months. oh, you know what's scary? this one guy wrote over 500k just during NaNoWriMo can you imagine??? 40k is nothing to sneeze at, you know!

Anne, you must be a really quick writer. And WOW, that is scary. I think I saw the headline on the NaNoWriMo homepage. I mean SERIOUSLY, either his fingers move like cheetahs on crack or he just sat at the computer for the entire month without sleeping, eating or taking any breaks at all. Probably both, actually.

i was fairly possessed. tamara loved the story. i think i'll do it the same way for nanowrimo: not even bother with a coherent story line and just write the scenes that i like and then connect them later. it seems to work.
