Coincidence? I Think NOT!

So, when I read the summary for The Host, I just immediately thought of my favorite character in fiction, and that is Rogue. It reminded me because in one plotline in the comics, Rogue fully absorbs one Carol Danvers and she kind of developes a split personality, with two people inside her head. The kind folks over on ff.net like to play around with this a lot, and I read a particularly good fic once where both Rogue and Carol fell in love with a certain Remy LeBeau... and it sounds awfully like the Host. I thought that was cool.

Plus, I got this email from Borders about some coupon, but when I read it, it had a little section called Bizarre Love Triangle about the Host, and it caught me off guard because Bizarre Love Triangle is the name of an issue of a comic in which Remy is tricked into having feelings for a new student at Xavier's, but it's really Rogue's mom, so that was weird...

but anyway... I just connected the too a lot and though it was funny. I was kidding in the title. I don't think she copied anything. I think it's cool.

yeah. i have a ton more in Heroes and X-men, but that's no surprise.

except for this one part when Sylar flips the van thing over his head?!?!?! SO happened in X3

Wow, that's a pretty cool coincidence. The Borders people probably stole the catch line from X-Men Razz

You're right, though. Steph wouldn't have copied. A lot of plots and stuff are just really common... Not to say The Host wasn't unique, or anything Razz

The Host is awesome.

I actually love X-Men, we have this guide to X-Men or something like that, and then we have one of those discs with 40 years of the comics in PDF format on it.
