Do you guys get the Breaking Dawn cover? Well if you know anything about chess you would. Its a Queen and a pawn. She's going to kill people ... lots of people. If she was in danger they wouldn’t of had the queen chess piece there, it would of been the king. Victoria is dead and the only other evil woman is Maria in Texas. So either Bella freaks and kills a lot of people or Maria does. Either way there is going to be a chick fight in this one. And the pawn? I think either Jacob, Edward or the Cullens as a whole are in real danger, from Bella. All the covers had direct influence about the stories. The forbidden fruit, the wilted dying rose (Bella's heart), the torn ribbon (being torn between Jacob and Edward) This one is no different. Someone is screwed. Can't wait to find out who.

I agree. I really really cant wait for Breaking Dawn to get here. no one is really going to know untill we've all read it.

oh and BlackSavvy... just so you know pawns can only kill other pieces on the diagnal .. they cant do anything with the piece right in front of them except a whole lot of not moving.

in the game of chess, white goes first and can choose whether to move one pawn one or two spaces. the player most often chooses two spaces, thus a sacrifice, as the opposite color will move forward, into the white pawn which is directly in front of it, and capture it.

umm actually the new moon cover (sorry to be a criticist, i quite like your theory, just this part annoyed me) wasnt a dying rose, it was a ruffled aka Parrot tulip, and it wasnt wilted nor dying, its actually supposed to do that, now what it meant, i cant remember, but it has something to do with the story...
all i know bout the thing, is they dont grow in Virginia, just look in our flower bed, not a ruffled tulip to be seen and we planted 15-20 bulbs
my guess was it has something to do with her power, and the obvious, that shes gonna be MASSIVELY powerful, as in she can rule others, now i know absolutely nothing about chess, never played it in my life, but from what im getting from other people...

Demonic Angel ~ The New Moon cover had no symbolism regarding the book that was directed by Stephenie. You can place symbolism on it as you wish but she didn't choose it, the publishing company did. But the flower type is correct--too bad they don't grow in Virginia.

Killeris ~ I really like your theory. I am an avid chess player (Internet duel sometime? Hehe.) and that was what I was thinking as well. I hope that no one dies though!
