i have family in france, so we go see them. i wouldn't get the vacations otherwise: we have free room and board!

my brother doesn't get me anything either, so don't worry. then again, i don't get him anything, so it all works out.

I thought so, but I got worried, because as I said, I know somebody who has multiple rooms. Glad to see I was wrong about that!! And lol, that's good that I'm not the only untrustworthy one when it comes to keeping a room in order.

Lucky you!! I have family in Canada and the US, but we never get to go there, even though Canada is our HOME (and native land... - Canadian national anthem, for anybody who didn't get that) We got to visit at the end of '06, but that was the only time.

And yeah, I don't get things for my brother and sister either, so I guess it's dumb of me to complain

i don't know anyone with multiple rooms. well, unless you count my two friends (they're sisters) who've taken over the guest room for their polly pocket dolls, but that doesn't really count. i am completely unable to keep my room clean, even if i try! it's sad, actually.

ooh, yay! the forum'll go in my acknowledgments as well! hmm, wonder if i can fit you in anywhere. i think when i start my next one i'll post a thread on my forum asking people who they want to be. i might not be able to incorporate everyone, but at least i'll have ideas!

that's one of the things i adore about my family. we don't go out to eat or to movies or to amusement parks or... well, anywhere really, but we go to france every summer. it's sad that you don't get to go to Canada very often. when you're a famous author who's published many bestsellers, maybe you can go more often! (or just move back ).

Haha. I would love to take over a whole room for my books... that would be nice. But as it is, my bedroom is a complete disaster. I'm gonna post a picture of it when I get a chance, because I took one yesterday, and it's actually quite funny. My room reflects my personality completely.

That would be cool I would love to do something like that, but unfortunately I'm usually very picky about the names I choose for my stories. For me, they all have to work together, otherwise it doesn't flow. Then again, some of my characters have really crazy, spur-of-the-moment names, like Urgula and Jinjer... the characters are alienish things, though, so it works (kind of).

My family does a lot of stuff together, and sometimes I get annoyed by it, because my parents try so hard to make us go and do stuff when I'd rather be sitting and writing, or skating. But it's alright, because a lot of the things we get to do are really fun (like when I got to go to Brisbane with my dad, and go to the theme parks there - which are AWESOME!!) France would be REALLY cool though. It's sad, because I'm fluent in French, but I've never actually been to France. And yeah, I think it would be cool to go back on a tour or something, if I was a famous author. The most part of my story is set in my childhood town in Canada, so it would make sense to go back there. Except I'll probably end up moving back anyway

I complain about a lot of things that I shouldn't. But I agree, it is fun. I have a friend, though, who complains like 24/7 hours about how her life sucks, and how her parents are too hard on her. And she's actually really spoiled. She just does it for the attention, so mostly I just ignore her. I always try to be overly positive so that she'll get the drift that I really don't care about her problems, finally.

im thinking of starting a personal library, god knows that enough of my friends come and borrow out my books! lol.

that would be cool! my friends don't usually ask to borrow my books, mostly because they have bazillions of their own. my brother does, though. (because i've put the harry potter and the tamora pierce in MY room where he has to ask before he can take them !)

i moved most of my books into my room so that silly little kids cant get them when they come around coz i dont let little kiddies into my bedroom!

good idea! why are kids coming into your house in the first place? i tend to steal a lot of my mom's books and put them into my room, so i have more books on my shelves than i should.

one of my mums best mates has two little kids and on the odd accasion that my cousins turn up.

i want a lock on my door but my mum wont let me. sigh.

the lock on my door sucks. actually, my entire door sucks. you can just push it open even if it's locked, so i don't lock it 'cause there would be no point. *sigh* i wish it locked properly!

my mum said that i cant have a lock coz i dont have younger siblings that live in the same house a me. sigh. its a bummer. gotta wish that your lock worked properly.

our foundation is sinking (damn construction people didnt do anything right!) so my door doesnt fit into the lock, so i cant lock it and we have already shaved it off like 3 times, so my door is like totally lopsided, its REALLY annoying

i hate it when parents do that! like they were saints as children and never played their music above a whisper. *snort* parents are hypocrites.

oh, lovely. my mom treats me as the 2nd adult when my dad's away, but my dad treats me like a little kid. it makes me SO mad!

i rule the house if mum isnt there so she thinks twice about calling me a little kid.

lucky. he doesn't CALL me a kid, he treats me like one. *grr* it makes me so angry!

it would make anyone mad.

indeed. especially when, for half the year, i'm treated like an adult.
