Ok, did anyone else buy the special edition of Eclipse yesterday?

yes! I did...even though I already have Eclipse. But I wanted all the awesome things that came with it!

What does anyone think of the cover for Breaking Dawn??

I love it! I thought it was so sweet when Bella told Renne and she already knew it. That's something my mom would do!

i don't really like to cover. it makes almost no sence at all. i mean, none of them do, but still. chess? that's so boring! lol

yeah...I'm not sure I get it all that much either CarmenCullen. Its not what I expected to be. But I guess if you think of the concept of how those pieces are placed and what pieces they are. It might make sence...my mom looked at it and said 'Checkmate' *shrugs* I dont know. I'm sure Stephenie Meyer has a very good reason for it and she will explain it later after the book is out.

well, i was expecting it to be a little more in the red category, but it still looks awesome, and i know absolutely nothing about chess, so i dont get it, but im sure it has a meaning

yeah i agree...so my special edition Eclipse FINALLY got here! I've only read what was released on the internet the other day of the first chapter of Breaking Dawn. So I'm really excited to actually read the whole thing! I'm so silly sometimes lol I thought what was released on the internet was what was also in the book lol *shakes head* I should have known better to know theres more of it in the book! Twilight Freak for crying out loud!

I think maybe it stands for Edward and Jerkob cuz Edward won!

heres wat i understand about the chess pieces:
the chess piece in the font i think is Bella. and the symbolism tells me the following:

white=purity
queen(the type of chess piece)=power
chess piece appears very large=immense

thus together means something along the lines of "immense pure-type power". possibly hinting at what happens when Bella gets changed.

the piece in the back is probably Edward:

red=blood=vampire(duh? lol)
pawn(chess piece type)=tool, or sometimes in the game of chess, a sacrifice. (detail further down)
small, in the back="in the background"

now, with that information, think about this:

in the game of chess, white goes first and can choose whether to move one pawn one or two spaces. the player most often chooses two spaces, thus a sacrifice, as the opposite color will move forward, into the white pawn which is directly in front of it, and capture it.

*ponders on that for a minute* thats good. and makes very good sence.

That's what i was thinking. It would give the book a massive climax and would also break the heart of millions of women, but it would show how much he really loves her.
