I feel sorry for poor Carlisle!!

Honestly, I hate him. If I didn't love Robert Pattinson so damn much and like the thought of him and Kristen Stewart, I probably wouldn't watch it.

Alas, Robert Pattinson is much too tempting, therefore I cannot give up watching one of my favorite books.

Still. I wish it were Charlie Hunnam. *sighs*

I'm disappointed. I think they could have found someone a lot better to play Carlisle. Peter just doesn't fit the profile for me.

I am too, Crimson. I was near tears when I saw he was casted. Otherwise, I think they did fairly good...I don't really have many objections. They could've done better with Rosalie, though. And Victoria. But that damage is not as bad as the damage that they have just wrecked upon casting Peter as Carlisle.

I don't think Peter Facinelli is that bad as Carlisle. Sure, Charlie Hunnam would have been better, but he's alright. Especially in the promotional pics - you'd be surprised what a little bit of hair dye does.

He definitely looks like a doctor. He's a bit old for Carlisle, but the face is just about right.

You know what though, the guy who was chosen to be James, would have made a better Carlisle, and Peter would have been better as James in my opinion.

Peter's alright, but I can see what you mean. Cam Gigandet doesn't look evil enough to be James. And Peter Facinelli isn't quite... intelligent-looking enough to be Carlisle. It could have worked the other way around, I agree.

You're right he isn't evil enough looking, he doesn't look evil at all. He looks too friendly, I mean did you see the smile on his face? He should be the one wearing the white jacket taking care of people at the hospital. And even with his hair dyed blonde, Peter still looks kind of dark and sinister to me. I just can't understand how the casting directors couldn't recognize this, or if they did, why they decided to go along with it anyway.

Yeah, Cam looks more like a friendly doctor. With Peter it'd just be like "What? This guy's operating on me?" and then you'd see him brandish a scalpel and everything would go dark...

Yikes, me too. I think I'd probably just hold off on any sort of medical treatment rather than go under his knife. He looks too scary to be a doctor... *sigh* why couldn't they have done some decent casting?

Same here Sam, that or switch doctors. He'd be perfect if they were making some kind of horror flick about a doctor. I could see the poster for the movie now. It'd be a picture of him holding a scalpel next to his face, with a line that says: "They go in but they never come out"

Because they probably don't know what they're doing. Or they're cheap and didn't want to spend the money that it would have taken to get better actors.

I'm getting horrible images of this now. Knowing me I'll probably go to my orthodontist appointment tomorrow and be hallucinating and see my orthodontist as Peter Facinelli, and the little metal mirror as a scalpel, and run out of the room screaming.

ok, yeah i think they need to find some hotter guys to play those rolls. and they guy for laurent? what the heck! (not to sound racist or nething) but i didn't think that vampires could be black....? hm oh well. i would be a little creeped out if i had to like get surgery and Peter walked in "ready to go?" hm.. i think I would run out screaming! *ahh* lol
