Emmett will try and talk Rosalie around, if she is still being a jerk to Bella. I don't understand it, I love Emmett but have a dislike toward Rosalie (right now anyways), how can Emmett stand her?

i know lindz! if i were emmet i'd mess with her, thats how i would stand her. you know like in mean girls when they give that girl foot cream instead of face cream and make her gain weight and stuff. lol could you see him cutting her hair off or something it would be amazing.

Oh I totally could see him messing with her, lol! Except I bet her fury would make even Emmett shudder in fear, haha!

who emmett? Of course he does, just coz theyre showy doesnt mean that they dont love each other as much as alice and jasper, or carlisle and esme.

I don't think Rosalie is shallow. On the contrary, I think there's a really deep part of her that we have yet to understand. And I can see why Emmett likes her too (apart from the obvious reason). Clearly he knows her better than we do.

Have you read the first chapter of Midnight Sun? Edward says:

"Rosalie's mind was a shallow pool with few suprises"
"If Rosealie's mind was a shallow pool then Emmet's was a lake with no shadows, glass clear."

She only thinks of her beauty. Even when she was human!!

I have read the first chapter of Midnight Sun, and I understand what your saying. And yeah, I guess she does seem pretty shallow, but there's other parts of her that run deeper than that, like her longing to have children. I agree she's probably not as deep as... say, Alice or Edward, but she's not COMPLETELY shallow, at least, not all the time.

True, She does deperatly want children, so she's not that shallow...

i think that shes just as deep, she just doesnt seem it as much as the others.

I kinda of feel sorry for her when it comes to that....

i don't mind rose. i think there is a lot more to her than we know, maybe even more than she realizes herself. a lot of her vanity came from her parents, and then it just kind of grew. and i can see emmett telling her that she's beautiful a lot. that said, i also think that she's mature and as deep as the others. not only is there the longing for children, but she's arguably been through a lot more than the others (except possibly esme). i mean, she was so close to getting everything she wanted and then, pouf, vanished, gone, nothing. i think she retreated inside herself then and wouldn't really let herself dream for more. i mean, if you're that close, and then everything dies, wouldn't you be a bit wary of dreaming again? so i don't think she's heartless or shallow, i think she's been hurt. she doesn't want to see Bella hurt, and she doesn't want to expose herself as vulnerable. i think she'll lighten up when bella gets changed. she has to. bella will be able to pound her into a pulp otherwise .

yeah i agree but in the 3 book she says that she never liked emment that way..... she said that his voice annoys her from the first time she heard it. So i still think that rose is selfish. Another thing... in the 2nd book she voted no she bella to becomeing a vampire so it just might make her hate her more. And also i think that shes alittle jelous of bella but doesnt want to admite it cause Edward loves a plain human girl and not her.

wait, what do you mean, she never liked emmett that way? do you mean edward, perhaps? she did vote no, and she is pretty selfish, but it's an understandable selfishness. i think she's jealous too, but not because edward loves her. i think she's jealous of bella's humanity. i'm willing to bet that rose would give a LOT of money to trade lives with bella!
