Charlie Swan Discussion Thread

Charlie is so cool! I love how he's trying to be a firm parent but he's just not intimidating enough, and how he's always trying to be a father figure when Bella is already so mature. You need a character like that in every series

Oh my goodness! Charlie and Bella's relationship is alot like mine and my dad's! Except me and him are ALOT more close!! I love it and vry everytime Charlie says "Give me a chance to hug you goodbye."

I found that kind of cheesy, but I can see where you're coming from. Charlie's relationship with Bella is really awkward at times, but you can tell they're still really close.

i think that charlie is a little over protective of Bella. Nothing like my dad, who shares that name! *gr* i hate my dad. i wish that Charlie Swan was my dad. *sigh* HECK! I'd take James right now!

Yeah, Charlie is pretty protective of Bella, but in some ways he's more leniant than a lot of parents too. Like he doesn't even check on her at night, when Edward is staying over... I find that pretty funny.

When I was reading the books, I was thinking of Dennis Quade. He would make a good Charlie. *sigh* But he did not even try out for the part I don't think.

i like the bloke that stephenie put as one of her faves. cant remember the name. i dont like the guy that they chose, too skinny for whet i pictured.

dennis quade? i would have LOVED if they made him Charlie, he's PERFECT! *sigh* but alas, he has baby problems. his twins almost died. *sniff* depressing.

the doctors gave them the wrong medicine. there was a blood thinning med for adults and one for kids and the bottles looked too much alike and they gave the kids the adult one and the next day when the Quade's went in, the babies were bleeding from all holes in there bodies. eyes,...bathroom, nose, ears ect. it was sad. my mom told me about it and i started to cry.

jeeze, thats nasty. did they survive?

yeah. the Quade's sued the people for like fifty million dollars. the babies are fine now...or at least last i heard they where. i hope they make it.

i hope they do too! that's so sad!

i like charlie. he tries so hard to be a good dad, but he can't quite make it to the "I am father, heed my command" stage. he's almost more her friend than her father. he's cool, though.

he's cool but completely and totally clueless! lol

I have a question too. what the heck do they do when Bella is on her period?????? I mean, in Eclipse it would be okay for Edward, but not in the begining of New Moon or in Twilight....and I don't think Alice would survive without seeing her at least once a week. and they have to go to school together anyway. on that matter, what do they do when the girls at school are on their periods??? wohw....

on rollacoster, it was about to start and then this add came up saying that it would not be playing today and im thinking **** it! coz (rollacoster is a collection of shows) stormhawks is on today! and then it says that 'the singing toe' would be playing instead and there i am, watching this singing toe, contemplating murder when on jumps the host (he is soooo funny) and yells 'april fools!'

and im like '......... ....... ......... YOU SON OF A *****'
