I think a song goes under here... here's a song I wrote for my band a while back. it's still our only completed song.

WHOA! i've been hearing some stuff that sounded like somebody was like walking on our roof for a while, and i've been ignoring it, but i just realized it's the firework show! They're shooting off fireworks tonight in my city... i forgot...

why are they shooting off fire works?

oh... it's fiesta

it's a whole 2 weeks here. there's a bunch of parades and parties and stuff. celebrating Texas independence. it's kinda like mardi gras in new orleans, except not as crazy (though some of the festivals are) but it's kinda of a local thing. nobody else outside my city does it.

er..... here goes,it is one of my first.

In butter skins of moonlight sliding,
comes a cry so mournful clear,
with shadow known not to man,
holding close to mutant beast,
unaccepted in human house,
free to run and flee forever.

its about werewolves.....

I really liked it ray, and I loved how you talked about "with shadow known not to man" that was a great line, I don't know why but it stood out to me for some reason! Anyways, I loved it!

There's a really long story behind this poem that I dont feel like getting into on here so I'll just say I wrote it towards one of my good friends. It's not very good but it is what it is.

I Hope

I hope you laugh
And never sigh
I hope you smile
And never cry

I hope you dance
And I hope you sing
I hope the friends you meet
Mean everything

I hope you dont miss me
Or anyone else
I hope you never feel alone
Or arent true to yourself

I hope your happy
And never sad

Ray: I still thought the way you put your poem together was good! Sorry for sounding like a teacher just there, its just we are doing a lot with poetry in school now and poetic forms are something we are looking at.

Heres some of mine I wrote today

My last Breath

Going down deeper into the water
I thrash my arms above my head
BUt then I stop
I feel the cool water surround me
Consuming me in deeper
I let myself think about "him"
As I go down deeper I feel a pain in my throat
This was my last breath
All I ever wanted was to be held in his arms
To belong to him and him only
That was too much to ask I can see that now
My throat burns more and more for each inch I sink
I kick my legs and thrash my arms trying to reach the surface
I never told him how I felt and now he'll never know how I loved him so
I never left a note it's too late now
The water consumes me as I take my last breath

Life is a lie

This smile i wear on my face is a lie
My life is a lie
A big one at that
I smile and say i'm okay
Can you see through my lie?
Can you tell that I'm lying through my teeth?
When I say I am miserable it's not a lie
It's simply the truth
You try and try to cheer me up
Sometimes it works and others it doesn't
Will you ever give up on me?
Will you ever say just get over it?
Will you ever just forget my pain?
I know my pain causes you pain
There's no explantion as to why I'm miserable
No reason at all

Bleed and Breathe

Misery, pain all of it rushes in
How can I feel all of this at once?
The fights they go on forever
Will it ever stop?
They can't see how much pain it causes me
They'll never see my perspective
How it affects me
They don't care that i cry and plead for them to stop
The wars; they never stop
I slit my wrists just to bleed
To feel more pain
No wait theres no more pain
Just the numbness
There's no more misery, agony from them
They comtinue to wadge their wars
While I wadge my own
I fight to stay alive
But all I can do now is Bleed and Breathe
