Lol comma I leave you guys for a week or so and you apostrophe ve started using some crazy morse code hyphen ish thing that doesn apostrophe t make the slightest bit of sense comma and I apostrophe m not even sure if I apostrophe m doing it right anyway period And by the way comma I apostrophe m fairly sure it is in fact inverted comma 3dot inverted comma instead of inverted comma dot to the third inverted comma comma because that apostrophe seems to be the mathematically correct way period But now I apostrophe m just sounding like a huge nerd comma so I apostrophe ll leave it at that for now period

Because I've lost track of all the things I need to reply to (I've been away for too long because of the competition and an overload of homework among other things) I'll just answer the things I remember.

Linden, I owe you a short story because I said so in your airplane letter. But if you don't remember that, then I didn't say a thing...

Oh, and I was reading a bit of that "thing" (Nanowrimo) a while back, but otherwise I've been way too busy. Sorry. And I'm not stereotyping Australian writers, although doing so would be perfectly acceptable with the exception of two people - Marianne Curley and somebody else who just scrapes the grade, and whose writing is so un-memorable (can't think of the word just now ) that I can't even remember their name. (Lol, that was probably TOO subtle.)

yeah... well, i'm leaving for 2 weeks as of tomorrow, so i hope these threads don't speed away and leave me in the dust while i'm gone!

lol and boy did I miss America. I went to Greece, Italy, Paris, and London. It was amazing, but Europe is tiring and expensive. I got back last night. anyone miss me?

The competition was pretty bad. I probably already told you, but I came third again (beaten by the same two people). I didn't land my double salchow or my axel, and I somehow managed to stuff up my combination spin a bit at the beginning... Now I've got another competition (States... ) in a week, and I'm freaking out again

oh boy. that sounds exciting and scary...

my most recent accomplishment: i made top band at my school!!! YAY!!! my band director sent out an email while I was gone, so i just found out.

Oooooooooooooh you could've been in Italy when i was!! No, probably not, but still - i was there last night and for 2 nights (3 days) about a week and a half ago (was in Croatia between that )

Anyway moving on from my flashy, expensive life (haha )

actually, I might've the first time you were there... i don't know. i've moved around so much i've completely lost track of time.

but ok. i was in a good mood until i heard some bad news. my friend's little brother died this morning. it's horrible.

ouch, mind if i ask how?

he had a brain tumor when he was younger and his brain was damaged when they removed it, so he hasn't really been able to control himself and he required round the clock nursing care. But during the night he rolled over and it caused him to suffocate.

It's tragic, but maybe he has a better life now.

The service is tomorrow.

I know. i feel so terrible for my friend. i'm just glad it didn't happen while we were still in Europe (she went on that trip too) because that would've been horrific.

i was kinda surprised cuz i went to his memorial service, and she gave a speech, and she was completely composed. i was kind of expecting her to cry or something, but she didn't and then at the reception she was laughing and joking around with us. that was cool.

Wow, I would've fallen apart completely... That's really terrible for your friend. But yeah, at least she wasn't in Europe... That would've been even worse...

yeah. i was kinda glad cuz when she went up for her speech the only thing i could think was "if she starts crying, i'm gonna cry too"

not really... but it's still really depressing when a kid dies.

it is. it's even more depressing when they're alive but disabled, though. that's so sad, for them and for their families.
