that's why i think that's too soon to bella became a mother. she and ed didin't enjoy their beginning of life together.

i wouldn't say that they didn't enjoy it, it was just an obstacle to get over

ok, im gonna take the opposite side on this one (not that i didnt think it was forced, or too early, cause it was, but..)
you have to consider that Nessie wasn't a normal baby
you dont have to change her diaper, all the food she needs is some blood, but can eat either, so shes not really picky
she could hunt herself by like what? age 3 months?
she could talk or that weird power of hers to tell you exactly what she wants or needs from the day she was born
Bella and Edward aren't taking care of her themselves either, they have all the Cullens and at points the Denali's
and Edward had always wanted to give Bella a child, so it wasn't like neither of them wanted it (well up until it started killing Bella, i think that changed Edward's mind...)
so really its not like they didn't get to enjoy their life together
its not a normal 18 yr old couple who have no money and prolly no support or place to live, if anything Nessie made them happier cause it gave them a child they thought impossible, they made friends with many vampires from across the world, so they have help for anything in the future

I kinda upsets me that they can't actually claim Renesme as their kid to the mortals because she will be seven which means they would to have had here around ten and I don't even know if that would be biologically possible. lol

I agree with Demonic. And I know a lot of couples who get married and have a baby at 18. MY parents got married at 19 and had me.

Dido with Demonic! I loved Renesmee! I can see her perfectly in my head, and she is so adorable.

Though, I do have to say that I thought it was really funny when she found out Jacob imprinted and all that... but that the last straw was something as insignificant as him nicknaming her after the Lockness Monster. Hee hee. Pure genius.

Yeah I get what you guys are all saying about the responsibility and stuff and how bella can take it... but I just wanted to see some of Bella and Edward together and married just as a couple before they became parents. Personally, that's what I wanted.

i wasn't all that happy about renesmee. for starters, like most of you, i REALLY hate her name. what is it with that kind of name? if any of you have read the Earth's Children series, Ayla does it too. it's just weird...

and, like sky, i think bella and edward deserved some alone time. they should have been able to relax without anyone wanting to kill them for at least a little while. i started bd expecting another time jump, but this one with them being so blissfully happy that nothing bad happened and therefore no story was required.

i can see how nessie (too lazy to type the whole name) was necessary to the plot, but she seemed too much like a plot device to me. both she and bella turned into (well, bella turned into. nessie was born that way) mary-sue like characters. (the kind who are perfect and have powers beyond anyone else's and all that jazz).

but i am happy that jake imprinted on her, and, to be honest, i was absolutely furious at bella when she found out. who CARES about nessie's nickname, or whether jake imprinted on her? bella wanted jake to be happy, wanted jake to find someone else, AND wanted to keep him around. so he finds the perfect solution, and she blows up at him completely. -shakes head-

i have to say that bd didn't endear me to either bella or edward. though i did grow to like leah a lot.

(p.s. who else thinks that the only reason alice calls jasper jazz is that stephenie's been reading fanfic?)

yes, i believe they do. i'm actually seriously considering rewriting it my way. though it would take forever, and i already have too many fanfic projects going on and planned...

unfortunately, i can't think of a way to work nessie into my alternate version. -sigh-
