And to answer the question that Lilly didn't respond to, Australian schools run from February to December. They usually start around Feb 1st or 2nd (sometimes even Jan 31st... *shudder*) and we get out in early December (usually the 8th or something, sometimes earlier or later). So yeah, we're pretty far from the end of the year We're only in term 2 out of 4.

Anne: I know you'll make it!

Sam: That is so crazy you guys start school in feburary and end in December, that means you'll be in school when my school comes to visit, sad day!

Aww, that sucks! I mean, I knew that anyway, but it still sucks. No biggie, though - I can just put a dummy in my place at school, get my friends to move it from class to class, and jump the fence!

(Funnily enough that's what my friends and I did the other day - the jumping the fence part, not the dummy thing - but only because the teachers told us to go up to Borneo house - our homeroom - and we were locked into the school. We found this really tall gate and just climbed over it )

sam, i can see you doing that! all of it, not just jumping the fence! you could tell your teachers you've developed a VERY bad case of laryngitis and cannot talk for several weeks . oh, and i might be able to wrangle an invitation to australia this summer ! my grandmother's friend is coming to france and i'm going to help teach her french and i wanna see if i can get her to invite me. then i can run off and meet you and lilly !

By the way, we do get a Christmas break. It's the summer holidays. We usually get let out around December 8th... Last year it was later, though.

WOW, I've never been to the Sydney Opera House. I've seen it, but I haven't gone inside. Our school's senior band played at some festival in there and won some silver plaque thing (I was in intermediate band at the time, unfortunately) so you're walking on sacred ground Hope you have fun!
