i let my friends borrow my copy of Eclipse cuz it is always out of the Library. and i have some 7th grade friends who have all the books so im always borrowing them from those people so that i can read them again and again. lol

that's cool. i have all the copies so i dont have to borrow them anymore thank god, thats why i dont like to give them out because i'm afraid i wont get them back and be able to read them when i want to

Candi/Jenica said that she is borrowing my copy of Eclipse all summer....she wishes. i want to re-read the series all summer! at least until i've memorized it! mwahahaha!

there's this girl in my grade who i dont really like but my teacher asked me if this girl could borrow my copy of twilight so i had to make up this lie about my cousin borrowing it
anyway our library has like a million copies so if she wants to read it she can get off her lazy butt and go get it

oooooo i hardly ever let peple borrow my books, they are my treasures, my scared worlds I can run to to ecape reality so I don't rip off somebody's head when I'm grumpy. (my mom is the same way, if she doesn't read, watch out.)

i let this one girl borrow my paperback copy of twilight. i swear she read only a page a day. everyday i would ask her if she was finished. after about a month she was only halfway through it so i said i wanted it back. she returned it back to me in HORRIBLE condition. i'm still pissed over it.

now i'm real careful about who i let borrow my books. i let forever_free borrow eclipse after i read it only because i effing love her! i also practically made my sister read them because i know she wouldn't tear them up. but yeah... i still need to get a new copy of twilight cause mine is in such bad condition.

Ok, so I got this book from my local library (Witchling by Ysmine Galenorn), and when I got it, the spine was cracked to the point where the book was in two parts but in-tack with the back. So I took read good care when I had it in my bag, anywhere else I had it, and when I was reading it. Well, the back half of it came unguled from the spine and now I've got a hair band around the whole fracking thing so I don't lose any of it.
Seriously, I almost cried (and I'm not one to cry), there were some definite sniffles. I feel SO bad anout it, I'm going to feel even worse when I go give it back.

i don't let people borrow my books. period. only within the family do i let people take them, and only because i'm not allowed to say no. my books are my treasures and my babies, and NO ONE will hurt them!

Same here Anne. I use to let people borrow them, but the last time I let someone borrow one they never brought it back. So I went over to the their house to get it back but they had somehow ended up losing it. It was one of my favorite books too, and it was expensive! I was not pleased to say the least. So now the only way someone will get one of my books is if they step over my dead body.

that sounds about right for me as well. i love my books. if you want to read them that is fine as long as it's in my home and not yours so i know that it is being taken care of

yeah i can't stand having books that are out of shape. it pisses me off. so that's why i'm very careful about who i let borrow my books. from now on it's only my family and BEST friends.

I don't even let my closest friends borrow my books, because I know them all too well. I could tell them a thousand times to take care of it and give it back when they're done, and they still wouldn't do it. As for my family, none of them really like read so I don't have to worry about any of them taking them. Well except for my dad and grandmother. The three of us will swap books every now and then. They always give them back in one piece, so I don't have a problem with letting them borrow any. It's everyone else I don't trust.
