We got past the 50k milestone, but neither of our novels were complete But hey, we should definitely talk online while we work our way through our novels this November

Anyway, I'll just pretend I know what "AP" and "IB" and all these things mean... The only thing that comes to mind when I see "CAS" is "Create A Sim" from The Sims 2. I'm not an addict or anything... Lol, stupid Australian system... Why does it have to be so weird?

i never have, but i will this year. i've been meaning to do it forever, and tamara yelled at me, and... yeah. our profile name is Tamara_the_muse, which should just about say it all . we have to! my only problem is that i have a REALLY good idea that i can't start on if i want to do it for NaNoWriMo. *sigh*

ap= advanced placement. it's regular honors
ib= international baccalaureate. it's honors on steroids, basically
cas= creativity/action/service. i need 150 hours to complete ib.

*shrug* the american system doesn't make much sense either, if you think about it. and the french system counts down. they go from 6th to "terminal" while americans go from 6th to 12th. i get to do conversions in my head every time someone asks me for the grade i'm in. (i'm in second right now, going into premiere. or, in normal terms, 10th going into 11th.)

Well it does make sense, because she's a writer. But she hasn't done it before anyway Yup, very original. I can't remember what your excerpt was... I might as well go back and read it now, seeing as I'm going to add Anne to my writing buddies list. Technically you don't have to convert it to French grading, but I guess it's just something they teach you in class so that you know how to say it in French. Just like we had to learn our Japanese grades so we could use it for the speaking assessments and stuff... *shudders* By the way, Ink Drinkers is Anne's site. It's awesome, and you should join! Lilly - NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month. It happens in November, and you can sign up on the site to keep track of your progress. Basically you have to write a 50,000 word novel in one month. You don't get any prizes or anything. Really it's just for personal achievement. But it's loads of fun!!

Anne - Yeah, I am. That makes sense. Yeah... I didn't really put much effort into the planning at all. Actually, I just used the first names that came to my head. I looked at the Rhapsody Music Player icon on my desktop, and it just sort of developed from there. She turned out to be the coolest character, anyway Ooh, that's cool! I'll check it out next time I'm on there. And yeah, we have aaaaaaages to wait... I'm getting really impatient now! Actually I'm going back and editing my entire story from last year so I can possibly post it on FictionPress or something.

national novel writing month. it's fun. actually, i've never done it, so i wouldn't know, but it sounds like it will be fun!

It IS fun!!!! LOTS of fun . Except when you're completely stuck and have no idea what to write and are only on like 3000 words... but apart from that it is EXCEEDINGLY fun .

meh, that sounds annoying. hopefully i won't have to deal with that. then again, knowing me, i will. *sigh*
